What to Expect?
Step into the world of Andean spinning and discover the ancestral technique behind every woven masterpiece. Guided by master weavers from highland communities, you’ll learn to transform raw alpaca fiber into thread using a pushka — the traditional Andean drop spindle. This hands-on experience starts with the basics and adapts as you build confidence and rhythm.

1. Where are CTTC workshops held?
All our workshops take place at our main location: Av. El Sol 603, Cusco, Peru, inside the Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco Museum and Store.
2. Will my instructor speak English?
Instructors speak Quechua and Spanish, with limited English. The workshop is visual and hands-on, with step-by-step demonstrations, supported by English instruction packets. Most participants find communication easy and enjoy the cultural connection.
3. I’m a total beginner—are these workshops for me?
Absolutely. No prior experience is needed for our workshops. We're here to guide you from the very beginning!
4. Are the workshops suitable for children?
Yes, our workshops are designed for ages 8+ and are suitable for all skill levels.
5. How do I reserve a workshop?
To reserve your workshop, please fill out here the Workshop Registration Request Form. Submitting the form is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your workshop will be confirmed once payment is received.
6. When do I pay for my workshop?
To secure your spot, payment is required at least two days before your workshop. We will send a payment link for debit or credit card transactions. Alternatively, you can pay in cash (Soles or USD) at our store on Av. Sol 603, Cusco.
7. Do you offer student discounts?
Yes, we offer a 5% discount to enrolled students. Please present your student ID at the time of payment.
8. Do you offer workshops for groups larger than 4 people?
